Step 1: Create a Landing Page
The first step is to create a landing page or squeeze page with an opt-in form for email collection from your visitors.
To create a free page like this in Systeme.io, follow these steps:
Navigate to the “Websites” section and select “Sales Funnels.”
Click “Create” and give your funnel a name. For example, I named mine Affiliate Lander.

Select “Build an Audience” as your funnel type.
Once the fundamentals of the landing page are done, you’ll see there are two pages in the left sidebar:
- Squeeze page: The opt-in form where people enter their email.
- Thank you page: Where subscribers land after signing up.
Now it’s time to customize your landing page!

Make your landing page all about your lead magnet.
Your lead magnet should provide value and align with your niche. For this example, I’m using a Keto Recipe Guide PDF to target health/weight loss audiences.
Here’s how to add it to your landing page:
Create or download an image representing your lead magnet.
Upload the image in the editor and place it on your page.
Update the text to make it engaging, like:
Headline: “Get Your Free Keto Recipe Guide!”
Button Text: “Claim My Free Guide Now.”
Remember to adjust font sizes and colors for readability and visual appeal.
Step 2: Build a Thank You Page
The thank-you page lets subscribers know their download is on the way.
To create one:
Select a simple thank-you page template in Systeme.io.
Adjust the text to say something like: “Your Free Keto Recipe Guide is on Its Way to Your Inbox!”
Add the image of your lead magnet again to remind people what they subscribed for.
This reassures subscribers that their sign-up was successful.
Step 3: Create an Automated Email Campaign
Delivering the lead magnet to your subscribers is crucial.
Without it, they might forget about your page and brand.
Here’s how to do it:
Go to “Emails” → “Campaigns” and create a new campaign.
Name your campaign something relevant, such as “Free Keto PDF.”

Write your email:
Subject: “Your Free Keto Recipe is Here!”
Body: Personalize it with the subscriber’s name and thank them for signing up.
Attachment: Upload your PDF directly or add a download link.
After finishing the email, save and publish it.
You’ll see a popup to set a delay.
In our case, choose 1 minute, so subscribers receive the Free PDF shortly after signing up.
Now, go back to your squeeze page to set up the automation.
Open the editor and click on the call-to-action button within the email opt-in form.
In the left sidebar, under “Action when button clicked,” select “Submit form.”
For the option “Do you want to redirect users after contact registration?”, choose “To the next step“ (this means users will be redirected to the thank-you page).
Finally, click the “Add Automation Rule” button to complete the setup.
Step 4: Add Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions
To comply with regulations like GDPR:
Go to Websites and Sales Funnels.
At the bottom of the left sidebar, click the “Add Step” button.
Name the Privacy Policy page and select Info Page from the dropdown menu.
Use templates provided by Systeme.io or generate them with ChatGPT, then adjust them to fit your needs.
Link these pages in your landing page footer.
Just edit the squeeze page, create text links for the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions in the footer, and add the respective page URLs.
Step 5: Test Your Funnel
Before launching, always test your funnel!
- Opt-in to your landing page using a test email address.
- Verify that the thank-you page displays correctly.
- Check your inbox for the automated email and download the lead magnet.
If everything works, you’re ready to go live!
